Permits were filed this week for a four-story mixed-use building at 3056 N Lincoln Avenue in Lake View. Located near the intersection of N Lincoln Avenue and W Barry Avenue, the lot sits amongst a corridor of retail, restaurants, and other commercial buildings. Nearby transit includes a four-minute walk north to bus route 77’s Belmont & Greenview stop, as well as a six-minute walk west to route 9’s Ashland & Wellington stop. CTA transit access includes an 11-minute walk northwest to Paulina station and a 13-minute walk northeast to Southport station, both serviced by the Brown Line.
The owner of the site is Children’s Land Learning Center, whose permit filing lists the ground floor of the building as commercial space. On the three floors above, three residential units are planned. Additional features of the design include a roof deck and a rear steel porch, which is likely an outdoor play area to be included with the daycare.
The general contractor for the project is Deluxe Remodeling Inc, while the architect of record is local architect Frederick Koziol. While no renderings have surfaced or been revealed, masonry contractor listings indicate a stone or brick facade.
The project is estimated to cost $595,000 to construct. No completion date has been listed.
