A three-flat residence permitted for construction on October 22 will fill part of a vacant parcel in the 1500 block of South Central Park Avenue in Lawndale. The permit for 1536 South Central Park, which came through with a reported cost of $400,000 after spending 97 days in the Chicago Data Portal, calls for a three-story building without a basement level.
A detached two-car garage and one surface parking space will provide one parking spot for each of the three new dwelling units. The permit does not specify frame or masonry construction for either structure. The vacant land spans the gap between 1530 and 1542 South Central Park, but as of now, there are no other pending permits to fill in more of the space.
