The city on Thursday, October 22 issued a permit to construct a three-flat residential building at 919 South Bell Avenue in the Tri-Taylor neighborhood. The new homes will fill the only vacant lot on the 900 block. The permit was issued 134 days after its application start date of June 10, and it includes a reported cost of $499,000.

The permit calls for a three-story frame structure with three dwelling units, one of which will be a Type A accessible unit. A partial rooftop deck is the only architectural detail mentioned. There will be no basement, and no parking of any type is included. Nearly every home in the immediate neighborhood includes a garage; it seems likely that at least some surface parking would be added at a later time, or perhaps a coach house.
The permit names Janusz Kaczor as the property owner, Michael Ryan as the architect of record, and Cill Dara Construction LLC as the general contractor. Per real estate records, the lot was purchased last year for $210,000. It is not known if the new residences will be offered for sale, or as rental apartments.
