Permits were approved last month for four four-story mixed-use buildings at 505, 513, 521, and 529 N Hermitage Avenue in West Town, Chicago. Located at the intersection of W Grand Avenue and N Hermitage Avenue, the corner lot takes up the majority of the city block. The nearest CTA L station is Ashland, serviced by the Green and Pink Lines. Within two blocks is the Grand and Paulina station, serviced by the 65 bus route. Volo Holdings LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications, reporting a cost of $1,284,400 for each of the parcels.
Plans for 505 N Hermitage Avenue call for six residential units, ground-floor retail, an attached six-car garage with a rooftop deck, an elevator penthouse, and one exterior parking space. The proposals for 513, 521, and 529 N Hermitage Avenue sites depict six-unit developments with basements, rooftop decks on the main edifice, and either two-, three-, or four-car garages also with rooftop decks. Details regarding height or square footage have not been released.
John C Hanna is listed as the architect of record. Diamond Partnership LLC is listed as the general contractor on the project.
Demolition permits have not been filed for the single-story manufacturing building on the property. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
