Exterior work has wrapped up at Parkline Chicago, a 26-story residential building located at 60 E Randolph Street in the northeast corner in The Loop. Planned by Moceri + Roszak and rising 293 feet, the new development will house 190 apartment up to the 19th floor, then 24 condominiums on the 20th to 25th floors. These residences will be priced between $1.42 million and $2.25 million.

Apartment dwellers will have access to various amenities, including a business center, a resident lounge, a fitness center, and indoor/outdoor pool, multiple terrace spaces, and a billiards lounge with a cafe. Condominium owners will find further amenities comprising of a private board room with views of the lake, a private social lounge, a private gourmet kitchen, and additional terrace space.

Thomas Roszak Architecture is behind the design, which features a glass and white metal curtain wall enshrouding a rectangular massing. A series of terrace spaces and inset balconies also line the exterior.

Nearest bus transportation includes Routes 3, 4, 26, 66, 124, 143, 147, 151, and 157 via a two-minute walk east to Michigan & Lake/Randolph. Other bus lines can be found for Routes 2, 29, 146, and 148 via a three-minute walk west to State & Randolph. Those wishing to board the CTA L will find the Orange, Purple, Brown, Pink, and Green Lines at the State/Lake station, a four-minute walk northwest. Further access for the Red Line lies a two-minute walk west to Lake station, while the Blue Line can be found at Washington station via a three-minute walk southwest.

Since Chicago YIMBY’s last update on Parkline in December, notable progress has taken place, including the completion of the base facade. Interior construction still remains, though is expected to conclude by the middle of this year.

Clark Construction is the general contractor for the project, which will open in a staggered fashion over the coming months. Condominiums will begin the move-in process earlier this spring, with apartment move-ins slightly later to mid-2021 as full interior construction wraps up.

This sure beats what was on this corner before but it’s too bad the developer didn’t push the height a bit more. Some setbacks would also have helped with the massing.
a lot more height… you’d think they’d want to capitalize on lake views and a better panorama of the cityscape from the west/north.

Looks like another fugly generic building.
IIRC they had 700’or so As-of-Right they could have utilized for this prime location. Roszak did the same thing at 145 N. Wells. A T.O.D. in the Loop and they showed no ambition, building an almost identical scaled high-rise to this, as with their Printer’s Row building. They aren’t a firm that’s going to take huge risks. They build mediocrity and move to the next one like what JDL used to be. Hopefully they graduate to Skyscrapers like JDL did.
