The subject parcel is a vacant lot next to a four-story courtyard apartment building one block north of Oak Woods Cemetery. The permit calls a three-story masonry structure and does not mention a basement. An open steel stairway will connect to decks on the second and third floors, and there will be a concrete patio at ground level, all located at the rear of the building. A three-car masonry garage will be erected at the alley accessed from Marquette Road and 67th Street.

Kingsbury Construction LLC is named as the developer, with Crown Construction Company the designated general contractor. Those two entities are both registered to the same Oak Lawn address on South Pulaski Road. Charles Schwartz is the architect of record.

I do believe in the next round of population counts, Woodlawn will see its first uptick in numbers in over 60 years.
Wikipedia is showing a population around 24k while the census claims it to be a little less than 2010’s count but still at 25k. At the rate of infill getting built, I think it can be closer to 26k. (more?) – that’s wishful thinking…
Woodlawn used to house more than 55k people than it does today. We gotta keep pushing.
