The subject parcel is a large vacant lot on the southeast corner of Evans Avenue and Marquette Road. No demolition will need to be permitted before work can get started. The permit calls for seven dwelling units in an apartment building, so it is anticipated that these will be rentals units. The number of stories for the structure is not specified, but there will be a basement level five and a half feet below grade. Outside, five surface parking spaces will be included on a concrete slab off the alley accessed from Marquette Road, and there will be a trash enclosure. More than 300 feet of iron fencing will surround the property.

Any history buffs know why this is Marquette Rd. rather than St. or Dr.? I feel like there are very few “Roads” in Chicago, so maybe there’s a story here.
“roads” aren’t super common in the city, but there a handful of well-known ones:
Irving Park Road
Pualski Road
Roosevelt Road
Cermak Road
Pershing Road
Marquette Road
