Afinity, a 15-unit condominium development at 3037 North Lincoln Avenue in Lake View, has been bricked up to its full four-story height. Developer and general contractor Promised Land Development got a permit to build here back in September of last year, and they worked throughout the winter on the project. A permit came through on May 7th of this year allowing them to install the passenger elevator. The September permit came with a reported construction cost of just under $7.6 million.

Hanna Architects is the architect of record for the new homes. Ground-floor commercial spaces will replace those lost when three buildings on the site were demolished for redevelopment, while a 15-space parking garage accessed from the alley off Barry and Southport Avenues occupies the rear of the first floor. Rooftop decks for the penthouse units, an elevator overrun, and a stair enclosure will be located atop the fourth floor. Each of the 15 condos will have three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths, with inset balconies included on all three residential levels.

Residents of 3037 North Lincoln Avenue will find CTA bus service via Routes 9, X9, and 77 by walking three blocks northwest to the junction of Belmont, Ashland, and Lincoln Avenues. The Wellington Brown/Purple Line elevated platform can be reached by walking just over half a mile east.
