Exterior work is wrapping up for two adjacent residential buildings located at 1143-45 W Addison Street in Lake View. The owner and developer 1143 Addison LLC has planned for three units within each of the three-story buildings for a total of six units. Additional features for each building include a basement, a rooftop deck, a rooftop stair enclosure, and a detached three-car garage.
John Hanna of Hanna Architects is the architect of record. Hanna’s design includes complementary gray and red brick facades on all three buildings, with balconies lining the front.
The property is in the vicinity of multiple transit options, including adjacent east and westbound stops for Route 152, located at the adjacent corner of Addison & Racine. Additional service includes northwest and southeast-bound stops for Route 22, located a two-minute walk east at Clark & Addison. Additional lines within the area include Route 36 to the east and Route 9/X9 to the west.
Nearest CTA L service can be found at the Red Line’s Addison station, located a six-minute walk east. The Brown Line’s Southport station is also in the vicinity, located a nine-minute walk southwest.
Residents will have near immediate access to Wrigley Field and a variety of retail and dining options, all steps from the development site.
GB Construction LLC is the general contractor for the roughly $1.4 million project. A full completion and move-in appears imminent.
