A permit has been issued by the City of Chicago to replace a single-family home at 1124 West Addison Street with a two-unit residential building. The permit application was filed on November 12 of last year, and was issued February 5. It names G Alan Development Group as the developer and general contractor, and estimates construction costs at an even $1 million.

The three-story building designed by Pavlovcik Architecture will include a raised, covered patio and an upper-level balcony. A concrete pad accessed from the alley at the rear of the property will include three outdoor parking spaces, rather than replacing the frame garage that was demolished with the house. Both structures were permitted for demolition on November 14, 2024; B & K Concrete 1 was listed in that permit as the dem contractor.

It’s awesome to see a SFH turn into a two flat, small win.
