A three-story, two-unit luxury condominium building at 840 West Lill Avenue in Lincoln Park continues to make rapid progress toward completion. The previous residence on the site, a single-family farmhouse that was built in 1860 and sold in May of this year, was demolished in July, with work on the new homes getting started before August began.
Now, brickwork covers the residential portion of the development as well as the detached two-car garage off the alley at the rear of the property. The garage will still get a rooftop deck and access stairway, while rear terraces and a roof deck will be added to the residences. Pro-Homes of Summit, IL is the developer and general contractor, working on a design by Michael Cox and Associates.
Residents of these two condos will live less than two blocks from Route 8 bus stops at Halsted and Wrightwood. About half a mile southwest is the Fullerton Red/Brown/Purple Line elevated platform, as well as Routes 37 and 74 buses.
