Construction of 220 North Ada continues trending upwards in the Fulton Market District. Concrete has topped out on the four-story podium at the north end of the site, so now crews from Clayco and Adjustable Concrete can concentrate on sending the residential portion of the development skyward. As of September 10, deck pours had reached the underside of the 14th floor, with the concrete core rising a couple stories above that.

As a reminder, 220 North Ada will be a 29-story, 308-unit rental tower; 62 of those dwellings (20%) will be set aside as affordable. The podium will hold 115 parking spaces, and there will be storage for 58 bicycles. The ground floor will include 12,000 square feet of retail space. Three developers are collaborating to deliver these apartments to the neighborhood: CRG,  Shapack Partners, and KMW Communities. They are on track to welcome their first tenants in 2026. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill is the building’s designer.

The location of the tower, at the intersection of North Ada Street and West Fulton, is toward the western edge of the Fulton Market District. There isn’t quite as much development activity in this region right now, but there’s a lot more coming. Demolition is complete for 410 North Elizabeth just a few blocks north, which already has caisson and superstructure permits pending. And right next door to 220 Ada to the east, a multi-tower project just broke cover this week. There are three large empty lots awaiting development along West Carroll Avenue….yes, there’s a lot of activity coming.

  1. This building looks like it took about 10 minutes to come up with. Boring box. Simply awful.

  2. Interested in ARO unit, single female, no pets interested in 1 bedroom or studio.
