Northwestern Medicine‘s Advanced Outpatient Care Center is making significant progress in Old Irving Park, with facade work currently underway. Located at 4445 W Irving Park Road, the four-story structure spans the width of a full city block bound by W Irving Park Road, N Kenneth Avenue, and N Kilbourn Avenue. The 160,000-square-foot facility is set to offer a variety of outpatient services, including cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, imaging, immediate care, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, physical therapy, primary care, and urology.

Designed by Cannon Design, the building will feature a large atrium lobby on the east side, welcoming patients, staff, and visitors. The middle section, which houses much of the clinical programming, will be enveloped in a tan masonry exterior that curves outward from the rest of the structure. On the westernmost side, a 350-vehicle parking garage with masonry and metal facade treatments will be included. The exterior area surrounding the building will boast a 2,400-square-foot plaza with bike racks, seating, and greenery.

The LEED-certified construction incorporates eight electric vehicle charging stations, light spill reduction, low-carbon sourcing materials, three green roofs, and bird-friendly windows with improved visibility.

The development is conveniently located near public transportation options, including bus stops for Routes 54A and 80 at the adjacent corner of Irving Park & Kilbourn. Rail service is available from the CTA L Blue Line and Metra, both within a 10-minute walk west to their respective Irving Park stations.

Power Construction and Ujamaa Construction have partnered to complete the $150 million project. Construction is anticipated to wrap up later this year.
