Permits were issued yesterday for a new residential build located at 1543 N Wieland Street in the Old Town neighborhood. The permit owner is listed as Western Development Group. The building will be a four-story development with eight units with a below-grade basement parking garage. Plans show that there will be front balconies on the second through fourth stories as well as rear metal porches on all levels. There will be an outdoor stair that will extend to a rooftop deck and enclosure. The site is currently a parking lot.
Michael S Cox is listed as the architect of record. No drawings or renderings have yet been disclosed.
Future residents will find the CTA Brown and Purple Lines via a five-minute walk west of the Sedgewick station. Bus service for Route 9 and 72 can be found at the North Avenue & Wells stop via a two-minute walk north. There are many dining and entertainment options within walking distance of the site.
McNea & Sons Construction will be acting as the general contractor on the $3 million project. An anticipated timeline has not been revealed.

Wieland St. is Not in Lakeview . It’s actually south of the Lincoln Park neighborhood . More Old Town .
Great! I think this is in Old Town. Another parking lot bites the dust!
FYI this would be Old Town and not Lakeview
