Construction permits have been issued for a four-story residential building at 622 W Willow Street in Old Town.

The owner, Willow-Howe LLC, is planning five total units for the building, as well as additional basement space, a porch, a rooftop stairway enclosure, and a rooftop deck with pergolas. The units themselves will also include fireplaces, although it has not been specified if all five residences will contain this feature. Lastly, a detached five-car garage will be built for the tenants.

The architect of record is Christopher G Boehm of 360 Design Studio. No renderings have yet been revealed, however multiple masonry contractors have been listed for the project, likely suggesting a brick facade.

Newberry Math & Science Academy. Nearby bus access includes a four-minute walk west to the Halsted & Willow stop for Route 8. The next closest stop is a five-minute walk south to North Ave & Larrabee for Routes 9 and 72.

Meanwhile, CTA L rail access includes a nine-minute walk southwest to the Red Line’s North/Clybourn station, as well as an 11-minute walk southeast to the Brown and Purple Lines’ Sedgwick station. As far as outdoor space, multiple smaller and medium-sized parks lie within the vicinity, while the almost 1200-acre Lincoln Park is a 14-minute walk east.

Cashel Development, LLC is the general contractor for the 622 W Willow Street project, estimated to cost $1.8 million. A completion date has not yet been announced.
