A permit was approved on Friday for a new three-story residential building to be located at 2435 W Foster Avenue in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. The owner is listed as 2435 W Foster LLC and plans indicate this project will yield four total units along with a basement level and a detached four-car garage with a rooftop deck. The development will replace a previous structure on the site.
Michael S Cox is listed as the architect of record. No drawings or renderings have yet been disclosed, though the filing description has indicated a masonry exterior.
The closest bus service available is Route 92 and can be found at Foster & Western via a one-minute walk east. The CTA Brown Line can be accessed at the Western station which is a 15-minute walk southeast.
There is an abundance of retail and dining options in the vicinity, many of which are located within a few minutes walk west along N Lincoln Avenue. Winnemac Park is also readily accessible by foot as it is a mere eight minutes east.
Leinster Construction Inc. will act as the general contractor for the $1.2 million dollar construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.

Used to live next door to this building. It had an at home day care and was owner occupied by a really nice family. Sad to see it get knocked down for some overpriced, cheaply constructed condos or apartments. If the new construction across the street is any indication, it’ll be at least 550-650k for one of these. Not really affordable for any regular person.
