Foundation permits have been issued for a new five-story residential building located at Lincoln Square‘s 2208 W Lawrence Avenue. Developed by Zivkovic Family Holdings LLC, the issued permit covers the first of two near-identical buildings adjacent to one another. This first building will include 10 total units, with the overall development set to house 20 units. Parking for the approved first structure includes four parking spaces on a rear concrete pad, and an additional three spaces within the building itself.

Ivan Kutlesa of Kutlesa Hernandez Architects is behind the 58-foot-tall design, which involves a stone and masonry design with balconies on the second through fourth floors and larger terraces on the fifth floor. The structure will also employ various sustainable components, such as an electric vehicle charging station, an Energy Star rating, and a reduction of indoor water usage by 25 percent.

Nearest bus service lies at the intersection of Lawrence and Leavitt, a one-minute walk west. Those looking to board the CTA L will find the Brown Line at Western station via a seven-minute walk southwest. Meanwhile, the Metra’s Ravenswood station is within an 11-minute walk east.

McVan Construction LLC is serving as general contractor for the foundations, reported to cost $150,000. No other permits have yet been filed or issued for the new buildings, and a full completion timeline is still unknown.
