Permits were recently issued for a three-story residential building located at 2140 W Evergreen Avenue in Wicker Park. Peter Brejnak is the listed owner, whose plans for the new development involve four total dwellings, a rooftop deck and stair enclosure, a basement, a rear three-story deck, and a detached four-car garage with a separate rooftop deck. The project will replace an empty grass plot.

Hanna Architect‘s John Hanna is the architect of record. While neither elevations nor renderings have yet been revealed, the permit’s multiple masonry contractors suggest a brick or stone design.
Residents will find a host of nearby transportation options, with bus stops available for Route 70 via a five-minute walk south. Meanwhile, stops for Route 72 are located via a seven-minute walk north to the intersection of North Ave & Leavitt. Lastly, Routes 50 and 56 are within a 10-minute walk northeast with various stops along N Milwaukee Avenue. As far as the CTA L, Blue Line trains can be found at Damen station, a nine-minute walk northeast.
The property also lies within walking distance of the triangular Wicker Park, as well as the elevated 606 Park located slightly further north. The nearby N Milwaukee Avenue also offers a major thoroughfare for both retail and dining.
Diamond Partnership, LLC is serving as general contractor for the reportedly $1,085,100 construction. An anticipated completion date is not yet known.

I was scrolling through Hanna projects this morning and while they are usually trash – this one is actually pretty good. Check it out Jack! They were pretty close to wrapping up the facade when I went by recently.
