All windows have been installed, and brickwork is rising around the exterior, as progress continues at the Lakeview Landing residential development in Lake View’s Wrigleyville neighborhood. Over The Rainbow Association is bringing 37 affordable, barrier-free units to this very desirable location at 835 West Addison Street, with an anticipated opening of September 2025.

Powers & Sons Construction is the general contractor here, delivering a design by Weese Langley Weese. It will include a 12-space parking garage on the ground floor, along with a community room that will be utilized by Lake View Lutheran Church, whose building was demolished after they donated the property to the Over The Rainbow Association for redevelopment. January appeared to be the end of permitting for the building, when permission was granted to install a pair of passenger elevators. But one more permit has come through, with the installation of a natural gas emergency generator receiving clearance on May 2nd.

Residents of Lakeview Landing will be within one block of CTA bus service for Routes 8 and 152. Route 36 is available three blocks to the east. Three blocks to the west is the Addison Red Line platform and Wrigley Field.

I will admit, this doesnt look as bad as I envisioned from the original renderings.
I really like those green bricks. Very curious how it will all look once its finished.
This is looking better than expected (the renders were giving the love child of a Best Western and a Culvers). The green bricking is looking good in contrast to the black along the facade.
The true test will be when the cobalt blue metal panels are added.
