Demolition is complete on the coach house at the rear of 3923 North Janssen Avenue in Lake View, with razing of the main residence just getting started as of May 10th. Both buildings were permitted for demolition on April 3rd, with Tir Conaill Concrete named as the demo contractor.

The property, which real estate records indicate was built in 1912, was sold in January for $2.15 million to Bachula Development, who have planned five residential units for the site. It is anticipated that these units will be for-sale condos.

Created by 360 Design Studio, the new plans call for a three-story building with a basement, plus a detached five-car garage on the alley where the coach house used to stand. The garage will feature a rooftop deck with pergolas, while the residential structure will have outdoor spaces on each level, plus its own roof deck. Both buildings will be enclosed by a wooden fence in the back and an ornamental metal fence in front.
