A two-flat has been permitted for construction at 3029 West Washington Boulevard in the Garfield Park neighborhood. Issued on March 17, the permit allows A-Z Remodeling, Inc to get started on the two-story plus basement, two-unit building designed by Pro-Plan Architects. The application to build was filed on February 11; the permit shows a reported construction cost of $300,000.

Details of the project include porches fashioned from wood and metal at the rear of the building, as well as metal and wood stairs out front. No garage is included; instead, there will be two surface parking spaces at the back of the lot, accessed from the alley connecting Albany Avenue and Sacramento Boulevard.

The new homes replace a long-vacant lot mid-block. Half of that lot was filled by another multi-unit residence, 3025 West Washington, that was permitted for construction back in September 2019.
