Yesterday, we looked at the beginnings of construction for the Kensington School West Loop, and today, we see construction has topped out for the Kensington School Bucktown early childhood education center in Wicker Park. Located at 1745 North Damen Avenue, the three-story, 25,000-square-foot building is a design by Charles Vincent George Architects. Along with daycare facilities, the Kensington School Bucktown will also include art and music rooms, and a rooftop play area. The Lauder Group is on the build.
Those wishing to use public transportation to get students to and from Kensington School, along with faculty and stuff, will find a Route 50 Damen bus just a block away. A three-block walk south leads to the Milwaukee/North/Damen junction and stops for the 56 and 72 buses, as well as the CTA Damen Blue Line station. For walkers and cyclists, the 606 Trail is less than a block north of the school.
