Construction permits have been issued for a new residential development at 6455 South St. Lawrence Avenue in Woodlawn. The project plans to construct a three-story building that will house four dwelling units when complete.
With an estimated budget of $678,600, 6455 South St. Lawrence Avenue has been designed with inclusivity and modern amenities in mind. Ground floor units will be classified as accessible dwelling units, and the property will feature a rear patio on the first floor and a rear porch with stairs on the second and third floors. Beyond that, two exterior parking spaces on a concrete pad will be available for future residents.
The project is led by owner Collard Properties LLC, with Greenline Homes LLC serving as the general contractor. Architect John Hanna has submitted plans through the self-certification process.
When complete, 6455 South St. Lawrence Avenue will be located a short walk from stops for the 3 and 4 bus lines. Beyond that, the King Drive CTA Station, which services the Green Line, is a nine minute walk to the north-west of the property.
