The townhomes will be three levels, ranging from 1,780 to 2,278 square feet, with two to four bedrooms, 2.5 to 3.5 bathrooms, balconies, and attached garages. Three layouts are available: the Orchid, Lotus, and Juniper, with flexible lower level space. According to an article by the Daily Herald, the designs include walk-in pantries, oversized islands, quartz countertops, nine-foot ceilings, plank flooring on the main level, and stainless steel GE energy-efficient appliances. Structural customization options include adding a powder room on the lower level, a fireplace in the main living area, volume ceilings in upper-level bedrooms, and extending secondary bedrooms by two feet. Prices start at approximately $444,000 for Orchid, $458,000 for Lotus, and $499,900 for Juniper layouts.

Lexington Homes, acting as the general contractor for the project, is preparing to pour foundations soon and intends to open three furnished model homes in the upcoming year, according to the Chicago Tribune. The design will incorporate a black and gray color scheme, gabled roofs, and large six-pane windows. The facades will feature brick, bevel siding, and metal accents, creating a combination of traditional English and modern architectural styles.

  1. First, thank you for covering suburban developments like this.

Second, this is a well-designed site plan for this lot. While I personally would have preferred a denser project so close to the Metra station, it’s a well designed townhome layout. Street-fronting buildings, open spaces, hidden parking, etc. all lead to a more walkable environment.

Mix of traditional English and Modern. Didn’t know they used Hardie Panel in Tudor England.
