A restoration project is currently in progress for a residential apartment building located at 251 E 121st Place in West Pullman, following fire damage that impacted apartments #511 and #512. The building, which is a five-story structure, is undergoing necessary repairs to bring the affected units back to habitable conditions.
The Sausage King of Chicago LLC, the property’s owner, has allocated a budget of $60,000 towards the restoration efforts. Work will focus on electrical and plumbing repairs within the two apartments, with plans to maintain the existing hot water heating system and floor layout. There will be no structural changes made during the restoration process.
Ghulam Kamal, a structural engineer, is overseeing the technical aspects of the restoration. Electrical work is being handled by Dubrowski Group Corp. Plumbing repairs are being handled by We Do Plumbing Inc. CCA Restoration Inc, a general contractor, is leading the overall renovation efforts.
251 E 121st Place is located a short walk from bus service for Route 34. Beyond that, the State Street Metra Station, which services the Electric District train, is also a short walk from the property.
