Construction permits have been issued for 6200-6208 South Ellis Avenue in Woodlawn. This $1.2 million project, designed by architect Michael Cox, will feature a collection of two-story townhomes, each equipped with a basement and rear deck.

In total, four homes will be built (addressed as 6200, 6202, 6206, and 6208 South Ellis Avenue). In addition to the homes, plans for the project outline the construction of four detached two-vehicle frame garages.

General construction duties have been assigned to Premium Builders Ltd. Masonry work will be carried out by B&K Concrete and Chicago Style Renovation Co. The project is Owned by 6200 South Ellis LLC.

When complete, the townhomes from 6200-6208 South Ellis Avenue will be located a short walk from bus stops for Routes 4 and 63. Beyond that, the Cottage Grove CTA station, which services the Green Line, will be approximately an eight-minute walk to the southwest of the homes.

    A $1.2M project of four units, so is it safe to assume that each unit will sell for just over $300K each?

    Yes, more of these need to be built on all the vacant lots across the the South and West sides.
