A new residential development has been approved at 1317 West Wrightwood Avenue in Wrightwood, with construction permits issued on January 25. The construction project, with a budget of $1,000,000, plans to build a four-story building featuring four residential units, rear decks on the second and third floors, and an attached four-car garage.
The project has been designed by architect Victor Drapszo. Notably, it will feature a private, occupiable rooftop above the fourth floor, designated for the exclusive use of the top-floor unit. The building also plans to include an elevator.
MPS Design and Development Inc is the general contractor for the project, and masonry work will be a collaborative effort between Elboe Enterprises Inc and K Enterprises Inc.
When complete, 1317 West Wrightwood Avenue will be located a 7 minute walk from stops for the 9 bus line, and an 8 minute walk from stops for the 74 bus line. Beyond that, the Fullerton CTA Station, which services the Brown, Purple, and Red Lines, will be a 16 minute walk to the southeast of the property.

    This makes me so mad

  2. I’m not normally fussy about historic preservation, but with all of the redevelopment opportunities in Chicago, this doesn’t seem like the best place for a teardown.
