Construction permits have been issued for 3708 West Belmont Avenue in Avondale. The project, which has a budget of $295,000, will comprise of three stories and feature three residential units when complete.

Designed by architect Ronald Vari, the building plans include a roof deck and enclosure. The inclusion of a rear patio and stairs, along with a front three-story porch, ensures ample outdoor space for future residents. The project plans also include the construction of a rear three-vehicle garage.

Profus Construction Corp, based in Chicago, is the general contractor overseeing the project. Masonry work will be handled by All Concrete Chicago Inc and Profus Construction Corp.

When complete, 3708 W Belmont Avenue will be located steps from bus service for Route 77. Beyond that, the Belmont CTA station, which services the Blue Line and is nearby as well as stops for Route 82, are both located a 10-minute walk to the east of the property.

  1. I’m normally all in favor of infill development like this, but it’s a pity to lose that little garden. There are plenty of other lots I’d have liked to see develop first.
