The City of Chicago has issued permits for 6542 S Minerva Avenue, a new residential building in Woodlawn. Permits for the project were issued on December 6, following a rapid six-day review period.
This project, with an estimated budget of $678,600, will feature a three-story structure housing four dwelling units. A rear patio at the first floor and a rear porch with stairs for the second and third floors are included in the design, enhancing the building’s outdoor space. Additionally, two exterior parking spaces on a concrete pad will be available, catering to the residents’ parking needs.
Architect John Hanna from Chicago is responsible for the design of the project. General contractor duties are being managed by Greenline Homes, LLC, overseeing the construction process. Masonry is being completed by Benjamin Van Horne.
When complete, residents of 6542 S Minerva Avenue will be located a seven-minute walk from bus service for Route 62, and an 11-minute walk from stops for Route 4 . Beyond that, the 63rd Street Metra Station, which services the South Shore Line Train, will be located an 11-minute walk from the property and the Cottage Grove CTA Station, which services the Green Line, will be located a 16-minute walk from the property.
