The City of Chicago has issued permits for a new three-story residential building located at 6413 S Drexel Avenue in Woodlawn. The permits were issued to Archic Investments LLC on November 6, 2023.
The planned project includes three dwelling units, a rear two-story deck with stairs, a 5-foot iron fence for enhanced security, and a three-car parking pad. Helen Liptak is the architect responsible for the design. General contracting duties have been assigned to Archic Properties Inc, and Masonry work will be a joint effort between Celtic Concrete, Inc. and M.S.R.C. Services Inc.
The project was expedited through the standard plan review process by Anna Lukaszczyk, and is forecasted to cost $480,000. When complete, residents will be a short walk from stops for the 63 bus line to the north and 4 bus line to the west. Beyond that, the property is a short 7 minute walk from the CTA Cottage Grove Station, which offers service for the Green Line.
