Ferrero North America recently celebrated the opening of its new Innovation Center and North America R&D Labs in The Loop. Located in the historic Marshall Field and Company Building at 24 E Washington Street, the new 45,000 square foot facility  brings together the different R&D divisions of the company’s major brands.

Brookfield Properties, which oversees the Marshall Field building, has been actively ramping up its leasing endeavors in 2023. By year-end, it’s anticipated that the company will have sealed nearly 200,000 square feet of new leasing deals, with Ferrero being among its most notable new tenants.

In 2021, the seven-story building underwent a significant restoration and now offers 636,000 square feet of modern office space. The structure retains its notable 15-foot ceilings and large windows, while updated sustainability features contribute to improved energy efficiency and a reduced carbon footprint.

“Keebler, Famous Amos, Fannie May, and so many other beloved Ferrero brands are as iconic as the space they will now call home in the Marshall Field and Company building in the heart of downtown Chicago,” said Alderman Bill Conway. “I’m thrilled to welcome Ferrero’s new innovation center and more than 100 Ferreroteam members to the thriving 34th Ward, and appreciate their global investment in Chicago’s economic growth, talent, and future.”
