A construction permit has been issued for a new restaurant located at 5954 S Kedzie Avenue in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood. This development, replacing what was previously an undeveloped parking lot, is owned by Jim Marneris.
The design for the restaurant is being led by Jonathan D Splitt. While there aren’t specific design details or renderings available online, the permit indicates it will be a one-story structure.
Information about parking provisions at the site isn’t currently available. The location offers transit access for several bus routes, the closest being Route 52 and 52A at the adjacent intersection of Kedzie & 60th. Also nearby are additional Routes 55, 59, and 63, while the closest CTA station is the Kedzie Orange Line station via a 26-minute walk north.
Macon Construction Group, Inc. is the general contractor for this project. The construction cost is reported to be $3 million. As of now, an estimated completion date for the project has not been announced.
