Construction permits have been issued for a new residential development at 6556 S Minerva Avenue in Woodlawn. The planned building will be a four-story masonry structure with nine dwelling units. The owner, Kingston DTA Group LLC, will replace a vacant lot that previously occupied the site.
The architect for the project is The Guider Group, whose design includes an attached six-vehicle private garage with a rooftop deck above, accessible by a one-story open roof deck access stair. Enhancing the building’s exterior, a five-foot-tall iron fence, two flag poles in the front yard, and a six-foot-tall masonry trash enclosure will be installed.
The closest public transit is the 63rd St Metra station, an 11-minute walk northeast.
The general contractor for the project is DTA Group Inc, with an estimated construction cost of $490,000, a full completion date has not yet been revealed.
