Construction permits have been issued for a new residential building at 2343 W Belden Avenue in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood. Both owner and developer of this property, the firm 2343 Belden LLC plans to erect a new three-story, two-unit building, which will come with a roof deck, a basement level, and a new frame two-vehicle garage with its own rooftop deck.

The architect of record is listed as Victor Drapszo of Red Architects. YIMBY has not been able to find any drawings or renderings of the design, and it is currently unknown if the main structure will be frame or masonry.

In addition to being close to the Kennedy Expressway, residents will also find various public transportation options available in the area. The nearest CTA bus service is for Route 49 less than a minute’s walk west to Western & Belden. United Chicago Builders LLC will be serving as the general contractor for the project. The project is expected to cost $425,000, according to the permit filing. The expected completion date remains unknown.

  1. That’s a picture of 2421 W Belden, not 2343 w Belden! Not sure if the address or the picture is mistaken…

    • You are right there was an error in the address number used for Google Maps. Correct property (2343 W Belden Avenue) is now reflected in headline image
