New Permits Issued for 1803 W Grand Avenue in West Town

New permits were issued this past week for a new five-story residential building at 1803 W Grand Avenue in West Town. The permit owner is filed under Plan Rise LLC, and according to plans, the development will consist of 17 units, a first-floor retail space with a mezzanine, a rooftop deck, and a 17-vehicle garage. Andrzej Kacprzynski is the architect of record on the permit. The new structure will replace a vacant lot.

The closest bus service can be accessed for Route 65 via a three-minute walk north. There is a nearby stop for Routes 65 via a three-minute walk east. The CTA L Pink and Green Lines can be boarded at the Ashland station via a 13-minute walk south. Future residents will find numerous commercial corridors close by, including Grand Avenue and Fulton Market.

ENC Construction & Development is the general contractor for the $2 million project. There is no anticipated completion date at this time.

  1. Love this infill on Grand. There are a number of these vacant lots which if developed well should really enliven the street. Cant believe the street work still isnt done and they arent even adding bike lanes.

  2. Finally this lot is going to be developed! Wish it could be like 10 stories but this will already transform the block for the better.
