New permits have been issued for a new three-story residential building with a garage at 831 N Maplewood Avenue in West Town. The owner is listed as 831 N Maplewood LLC and plans indicate that the project will include three total units, a basement level, a rooftop deck, front and rear decks, and a detached three-vehicle garage with its own rooftop deck. The property site is currently occupied by a multi-residence building.
John C Hanna is the architect of record. As of now, no drawings or renderings have been made public, however, it has been confirmed that this will involve a brick exterior.
Future residents will find bus service for Route 66 at the intersection of Chicago & Campbell stop, within a three-minute walk of the site. Route 49 can also be accessed via a five-minute walk east to the Western & Iowa stop. There are many popular shops and dining establishments that are readily accessible on foot along N Western and W Chicago Avenues.
Panoptic Group Inc is the general contractor behind the reportedly $1.42 million construction. A timeline for construction has not been released and no demolition permits have yet been issued.
