A permit was approved earlier this week for a second new three-story residential building at 2733 W Maypole Avenue in the East Garfield Park neighborhood. This is a sister build to a twin project from the same team which will be located at 2727 W Maypole Avenue. The owner is listed as Darlena W Burnett, and the current plans indicate this project will yield six total dwelling units. The front of the building will be outfitted with balconies. The project will be fenced and feature a seven-vehicle parking pad at the rear. The lot is currently vacant.
Axios Architects & Consultants is listed as the architect of record. At the time of this writing, no renderings have been made public, though the build will feature a brick exterior.
The closest bus service available is Route 94 which can be found at California & Lake via a two-minute walk west. Those looking to access transit via the CTA L will also find the Green Line at the California station within a two-minute walk west. There are a number of retail and dining options along N California Avenue and W Lake Street both of which are readily accessible on foot.
Vivify Construction will act as the general contractor for the $1.13 million construction. A complete timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
