Permits were issued early this week for a new three-story residential building at 6328 S Evans Avenue in the Woodlawn neighborhood. The permit owner is listed as Mia Jones, and the description indicates this will be a three-flat frame construction on the currently vacant lot. The build will feature rear egress stairs and a concrete parking pad with three spaces. The property will be fenced.
Kathryn Shahbaz O’Brien is listed as the architect of record. No drawings or renderings have been disclosed at this time, however, a masonry component is expected.
The CTA Green Line can be accessed at the Cottage Grove station via a three-minute walk north. The nearest bus available is Route 63 and it can be found at the 63rd Street & Cottage Grove stop via a two-minute walk north. There are a number of grocery and dining options available within a five-minute walk of the future property site.
The Kolossal Group Inc will be acting as the general contractor for the $450,000 build. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
