A permit was issued this week for a new three-story residential building at 2240 W Jackson Boulevard in the Near West Side neighborhood. The owner and developer are listed on the permit as Arista Development LLC. There will be a total of three three-bedroom, two-bathroom units clocking in at roughly 1,500 square feet of useable space apiece. The second- and third-floor units will be outfitted with rear decks, and the first-floor unit will have a private patio. The build will also feature a detached three-car masonry garage.
Charles E Schwartz is listed as the architect of record for this project and has elaborated that this will be a masonry build complete with a brick and stone facade. The sides and rear will be composed of masonry blocks. No renderings are available for this project.
Transportation is readily accessible with the nearest bus service for Route 126 at the Jackson & Oakley stop directly in front of the future property site. The CTA Blue Line can be found at the Western station via a seven-minute walk southwest. There are many grocery and food options available along Western Avenue.
Metropole Holdings Inc will act as the general contractor for the $350,000 construction. With permits so recently issued, a full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been established.
