A demolition permit was issued this week for a two-story multi-unit residential building at 1448 W Flournoy Street in the Near West Side neighborhood. The permit owner is listed as Baoliang Song.
Transportation is readily accessible with bus service for Route 7 at the Harrison & Loomis stop directly in front of the future property site. The CTA Blue Line can be found at the Racine station via a seven-minute walk north. The property site is within walking distance of the University of Illinois. There are dining options available along S Ashland Avenue.
Quality Excavation Inc will be serving as the demolition contractor on this project. Permits were approved last fall for a three-story single-family property with an accompanying one-story garage. With the issuance of this demolition permit, construction will likely begin soon on the new construction.
