A permit was approved last week for a new three-story residential building at 4723 N Winthrop Avenue in the Uptown neighborhood. The owner is listed as Wentworth 39 LLC, and the current plans indicate this project will yield four dwelling units, one of which will be a penthouse. The building will also have a finished basement, a rooftop deck, and a detached four-vehicle garage. The lot is currently vacant.
Ronald Vari is listed as the architect of record. At the time of this writing, no drawings or renderings have been disclosed. However, the plans indicate masonry contractors.
Future residents can readily access bus service for Routes 36 and 81 at the Broadway & Leland stop via a two-minute walk west. The CTA Red and Purples Lines can be accessed at the Wilson station via a five-minute walk south. There are many nightlife and dining options along Broadway including the Riviera and Aragon Theaters.
Profus Construction Corp will act as the general contractor for the $677,000 construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
