Two demolition permits were filed last week for neighboring two-story frame residences along with detached frame garages located at 4306 and 4308 N Greenview Avenue in Lake View. The permit’s owner is listed as Charles Murphy for both demolitions. The properties were recently put up for sale as a combined lot. The listing is currently active with an asking price of $1.45 million.
The closest bus service available is Route 22 and can be found at the Clark & Cullom stop via a four-minute walk east. The CTA L Brown Line can be found at the Irving Park station via a 15-minute walk southwest. There is a very active restaurant and retail scene nearby along N Ashland Avenue.
Bridges Excavating Inc is serving as the demolition contractor on both of the projects. At the time of this writing, plans have only been submitted for 4308 N Greenview Avenue, where a two-story single-family residence with a basement and detached garage is planned.

Unreal.
Chicago has more vacant lots than probably any major city yet they demolish structures relentlessly only to build back something of similar scale/density. A couple 4-flats would be worth it but two more 2-story SFH’s is asinine.
More like Uptown than Lakeview – properties are above 4000 North.
