Permits were issued yesterday for a new two-story residential building located at 2915 Princeton Avenue in the Armour Square neighborhood. Victor Kuo, of Kuo Construction, Inc, is listed as the permit owner. Plans indicate that the scope of the project will include a two-flat construction with a basement level. There will also be three on-grade parking spaces. The current structure has been scheduled for demolition.
Steven Smutny is listed as the architect of record. As of now, no drawings or renderings have been posted. However, the filing’s two masonry contractors suggest the building will involve a brick exterior.
Future residents will have the CTA L access for the Red Line at the Cermack-Chinatown station via a 20-minute walk north. Route 24 bus service can be found at Wentworth & 29th Street via a four-minute walk east. There are many dining and retail options along the nearby S Wentworth Avenue.
Kuo Construction, Inc will also be acting as the general contractor. The filing indicates that construction is expected to cost $250,000. A timeline or completion date for the project has not yet been released.
