A permit was issued this week for a new four-story mixed-use building, located at 5691 N Ridge Avenue in Edgewater. The developer, 5691 Ridge Development LLC, has planned a ground-floor retail space and a total of nine dwelling units, with an elevator penthouse. There will also be a rooftop stairway enclosure, a bike room, and nine parking stalls. The new construction will be replacing a previous structure.
The architect of record is Pamela Lamaster-Millett of Searl Lamaster Howe Architects. At this time no renderings have been shared on this project.
The nearest bus access can be found for Route 84 at the Ridge & Wayne stop, directly in front of the structure. For access to the CTA L, Red Line service is available at the Bryn Mawr station via a six-minute walk southeast. There are also a number of restaurants and retail options along the N Broadway corridor which is a two-minute walk east.
Synergy Construction Group, LLC will serve as the general contractor for the $3.95 million project. An anticipated completion date is not yet known.
