A permit was approved on Friday for a new three-story residential building to be located at 2457 N Racine Avenue in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The owner is listed as EZMB LLC with plans that include front decks on all levels and rear porches on the second and third levels. The rear stairs will continue up to an enclosed rooftop deck. The building will include a basement-level three-car garage, the roof of which will house a second deck. The building will replace a previous structure.

John C Hanna is listed as the architect of record. No drawings or renderings have yet been disclosed, though the filing description has indicated a masonry exterior.

The closest bus service available is Route 74 and can be found at Fullerton & Racine via a two-minute walk south. The CTA L Red, Brown, and Purple Lines can be accessed at the Fullerton station via an eight-minute walk southeast.

There is an abundance of retail and dining options in the vicinity, many of which are located within an 11-minute walk east along N Altgeld Street to connect with the N Lincoln Avenue corridor.

EZMB LLC will also serve as the general contractor for the $784,700 construction. A full timeline containing further details including an anticipated completion date has not yet been revealed.

  1. Hard to tell exactly which structure this will be replacing. Hopefully Bart’s cleaners across the street from what is pictured.
