Permits have been issued for a three-story residential building at 3815 N Lakewood Avenue in Lake View. Heffernan Builders LLC is the listed owner, with plans for four total units, a basement, a rear open porch and series of decks, and six parking stalls on a rear slab. The new development will replace a two-story masonry building and a rear one-story garage.
Michael Cox is serving as the architect of record. No designs appear to have been published, though the filing description notes that the structure will be masonry.
Future residents will have bus access to Route 22 at the intersection of Clark & Grace, a three-minute walk southeast. Additional bus service for Routes X9 and 80 is available at Irving Park & Clark, a five-minute walk north. Meanwhile, nearest CTA L Red Line service can be found at Sheridan station via a 12-minute walk northeast or Addison station via a 12-minute walk southeast. Those looking to board the Brown Line will also find Southport station via a 12-minute walk south.
The area is lined with a variety of entertainment and dining options, with the Wrigleyville area within quick walking distance to the southeast. Closest green space consists of Juniper Playlot Park, a nine-minute walk southwest.
Heffernan Builders is also serving as general contractor for the $850,000 construction. A full completion timeline is not yet known.
