Construction permits have been issued for 1755 W Cornelia Avenue, where the owner Volo Holdings LLC-1755 Cornelia Series has planned a three-story residential building. Located at the western edge of Lake View and set to house three total units, the development will also come with a basement, a rooftop deck and stair enclosure, a front terrace at the first floor, and decks both along the front and rear exteriors. Residents will also have accessed to a three-car garage with a separate rooftop deck.

In September 2020, the owner received approval from the Committee on Zoning, Landmarks, and Building status to re-zone the parcel from RS-3 Residential Single-Unit to RT-4 Residential Two-Flat, Townhouse, and Multi-Unit District, thereby allowing the development to proceed. The new construction is set to replace a two-story gabled masonry residence.

Hanna Architects is listed as the architect of record. No drawings or renderings could be found, though the permit filing has indicated multiple masonry contractors that could indicate a brick or stone design.

The property lies within a block west of N Lincoln Avenue, which offers a swath of retail, dining, and bar options. Residents will have access to Route 152, available via a four-minute walk north. Additional buses within a 10-minute walk include Route 9 to the northeast and southeast, Route X9 to the northeast, and Route 50 to the west. Meanwhile, CTA L service for the Brown Line is accessible via Paulina station, a three-minute walk southeast.

Diamond Partnership LLC is the general contractor for the nearly $680,000 endeavor. An anticipated completion has not yet been listed.
