Construction has reached the second floor of West Loop Collection’s fourth building. Situated at 210-240 S Green Street just outside Greektown, the 40-unit project has been planned by POGN Development. The plan involves five adjacent six-story condominium buildings, each housing four duplexes and four single-level residences. Prices range from $1 million for simplexes up to $2 million for duplex penthouses.
Dwellings vary between three- and five-bedroom units, and feature nine-foot-tall ceiling spans, a walk-in closet in the primary bedroom, as well as Copat Italian cabinetry, and large islands in the kitchen. All listings come with balcony space, while duplexes will have additional terrace spaces.
JEF + Associates is responsible for West Loop Collection’s design. Each of the five near-identical structures are clad in a mix of brick, limestone, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Between the adjacent buildings are also vertical light wells to allow for additional natural light near the center of the floor plans.
For transportation, residents have immediate access to Route 126’s eastbound bus at the adjacent intersection of Jackson & Peoria. Westbound Route 126, meanwhile, is located one block south at Van Buren & Peoria. Also nearby are stops for Route 8 via a two-minute walk east to Halsted & Van Buren, as well as stops for Route 20 via a six-minute walk north to Madison & Peoria.
As far as CTA L service within the area, the Blue Line is available at UIC-Halsted station, located a five-minute walk south. Next closest L trains can be found for the Green and Pink Lines, located a 14-minute walk northwest to Morgan station.
NGL Construction is serving as the general contractor. Since Chicago YIMBY’s January update, the fourth building has progressed from foundation work to the second level. While the timeline for the two remaining structures is still unknown, move-ins have already proceeded for the first three buildings.
