Construction permits were filed last week for a three-story residential building at 4351 S Vincennes Avenue in Bronzeville. With McBrearty Construction Company as the listed owner, plans consist of three total units, a basement, a private rooftop deck, and a detached three-car garage with an additional rooftop deck. The project is set to replace a formerly vacant grass parcel.
Christopher Boehm of 360 Design Studio is serving as architect of record. While no drawings or renderings have been published, the filing description has indicated a masonry exterior.
Closest bus service can be found for Route 43 via a two-minute walk north to 43rd Street & Vincennes. Route 3 is also nearby, with stops available at King Drive & 44th Street via a four-minute walk west. Lastly, Route 4 is accessible via an eight-minute walk east to Cottage Grove & 44th Street. Those looking to board the L will find 43rd station within a seven-minute walk west.
Multiple parks lie within close walking distance, including Armstrong Park via a four-minute walk southeast and Hadiya Pendleton Park via a six-minute walk west. The Lakefront and accompanying Lakefront trail are located roughly a 20-minute walk east.
McBrearty Construction is also the general contractor for the reportedly $1,047,000 development. A completion date has not yet been announced.
