Construction permits have been issued for a three-floor residential development at 1932 N Drake Avenue in Logan Square. Drake 1934 LLC is the listed owner, who plans four total units, a basement, a rooftop deck and stair enclosures, a wood trellis, and front and rear decks along all three floors. A car port for four vehicles will also be included.
John Hanna of Hanna Architects is the architect of record. While no drawings or renderings have yet been revealed, multiple masonry contractors may indicate a brick or stone design.
Nearest bus access includes east and westbound service for Route 73, which are located at the corner of Armitage & Drake via a minute-walk north. Additional nearby service for Route 82 is a five-minute walk northeast to Kimball & Armitage. No CTA L service is available within a 20-minute walk, although rail access for the Metra lies at Healy station is a 24-minute walk northwest.
Parks within the area consist of Mozart Park, Palmer Square Park, and The 606 (Bloomingdale Trail and Park). Funston Elementary School is also a five-minute walk northwest.
Star Development Corporation is the general contractor for the $1,020,300 development. An anticipated completion date has not yet been revealed.
